hey, i'm brittany

Hey, I’m Britt! I’ve been freelancing as a graphic and web designer for over a decade now. Honestly, when I was younger, I had no clue that graphic design was a career. I thought only computer geniuses like Grace Hopper could make websites. I mean, I dabbled with GeoCities as a kid, but it wasn’t until college, sophomore year to be exact, that I fell head over heels for design.

Nowadays, I’m all about a clean, minimalist vibe with a sprinkle of bold, quirky offbeat touches that might break a design rule or two. You know what? My clients love it – how I just “get it”… I have an instinct for capturing the essence of their brand through design.

My Expertise:
  • I’ve got a solid 10 years of professional graphic and web design experience, plus another 4 years of freelancing on the side.
  • I’ve honed my craft across diverse industries ranging from a merchant services company, a mega church, and a media agency specializing in union-based organizations to private individual clients in hospitality, retail, and creative services.
  • My design abilities are vast, ranging from logo design to mobile application prototypes in XD and email marketing campaigns.
  • I’m skilled in designing print collateral such as brochures and annual reports, package design, apparel design, social media event marketing, and other digital campaigns – seeing projects from concept to completion.
  • I currently specialize in building user-friendly, mobile-first websites and strategic brand identity systems for individual clients.

Tools:
  • I’m an Adobe Girl. Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, and InDesign are my Jam.
  • I build websites using WordPress & Elementor, and e-commerce sites using Shopify.
  • I’m a Figma & Webflow Novice.
  • *Whispers* I use Canva, too. A lot! It has the best user interface for designing on the go.
  • I manage projects using Google Workspace, Notion, Trello.
  • I speak HTML5, CSS3, & Javascript. I’m learning React & languages that allow me to confidently say I’m a Front-End Developer.

Passion:

I get so excited about web design and coding. I wonder if the day will ever come that I don’t have that ‘fuck yea’ feeling when launching a site – turning all that ‘jibberish’ code into something meaningful. Something that empowers clients with an online presence that serves as a tool, helping them to accomplish their hopes & dreams.

I’m open to opportunities – whether as a part of your hybrid team, on a contract/retainer, or for individual clients ready to take their side hustle seriously & to the next level.
